Select the wording that accurately reflects the site condition and your organization’s safety procedures. Do not use police-line wording in a way that could misrepresent official law-enforcement control.

Where Barricade and Warning Tape Is Used

Common applications include construction projects, maintenance zones, warehouses, utility work, event setup, spill areas and temporarily closed rooms or walkways. Tape should be secured to stable posts, cones, barriers or suitable fixed points so that the boundary remains visible.

Barricade tape is a visual warning rather than a physical protective barrier. Use appropriate fencing, cones, guards or other controls when people must be physically prevented from entering an area.
